NBA Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant perished in a helicopter crash north of Los Angeles Sunday morning, along with four others. He was 41.
Los Angeles police said the crash occured just after 10 a.m. near Calabasas, a suburb north of the city.
Fire Department officials confirmed the incident on CNN Sunday afternoon, although they were not able to share any names for the victims.
