Vice President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation Babs Ogunade has stated that the NBBF and players of the national women basketball team are on same page in terms of preparation and ensuring that the team qualify for the women basketball event of the 2020 games.
Ogunade speaking in a chat with brila.net said the Federation has reached out to the ministry as regards the Federation’s plan and program to ensure the D’Tigress scale through the final hurdle next year and also help ensure the team isn’t lacking necessary support.
“They are ready to qualify for the Olympics, we hope that hopefully they put together a very good show and they are also trying to qualify for the Olympics.
“The challenges of course are financial. We have reached out to the ministry and the minister who have also come before to bail us out, we are hoping that they will do the same again because this is all about Nigeria.”
