Akwa United new signing Ndifreke Effiong says his target for the club is to score 15 to 20 goals and help the promise keepers to win the league for the first time in their history.
Ndifreke was unveiled on Friday at Nest of Champions in Uyo alongside other 12 new recruited players for the coming Nigeria Professional Football League season that is expected to kick-off on the 13th of January.
Speaking after the unveiling ceremony, the former Abia Warriors striker said he’s happy to join his home town club, while reiterating his desire to win the top scorer award .
“I feel great to sign for the club, you can see the large turn out of fans at the unveiling it looks as if it’s a league game“
“My target is to win the league and score 15 to 20 goals this season , bring many things to the club“.
Ndifreke scored nine goals for Abia Warriors last season before the league was haulted with fourteen matches remaining.j
