Ned Nwoko disowns a fraudulent Facebook account.

Some unscrupulous persons believed to advance -fee –fraudsters have opened a fake Facebook account with Ned Munir Nwoko’ s name .

In a press statement by Director Ned Nwoko Media and Strategic Communication’s Directorate , signed by Norbert Chiazor , made available to Cornerstones news , it stated that ” The attention of the Star Prince of Anioma, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko has been drawn to a fictitious Facebook account – Ned Munir Nwoko, opened with the intention of defrauding the unsuspecting public.

” It is appalling to note how low some persons could descend by using the name and face of a respectable and generous man like Ned Nwoko to hoodwink innocent Nigerians, through non – existent financial goodwill. We hereby expressly disown the Facebook Account and a clone on WhatsApp as fake and fraudulent. We urge Ned Nwoko’s teeming supporters and well wishers to discountenance it; and henceforth do a background check on profile of persons before accepting their friendship on Facebook or any other social media platform.

” Ned Nwoko has a media team which handles all his media activities, and there are several channels through which he can be reached for his trade mark benevolence. Definitely not the one the alleged social media fraudster concorted. Nwoko is widely acknowledged as a man of integrity accustomed to impeccable social standing. No crooked plot, irresponsible act or mischievous scheme can blur his shining armour of honour. This dubious and sinister agenda obviously aimed in futility to smear the image of the illustrious Prince of Anioma, Nwoko has reported to security agencies. The devious perpetrators and their sponsors will be arrested and prosecuted.

” Meanwhile, here are the assurances: Nwoko remains a friend of all, committed to enhancing the fortunes of the needy in the society through selfless humanitarian services and human capital development. Sequel to the charity of the Star Prince, we wish to inform everyone that a scholarship scheme for all categories of students and empowerment for market women, artisans and others in the informal sector are on under Ned Nwoko Foundation. Members of the public are free to apply through visit to Mount Ned Resort, Idumuje-Ugboko, Aniocha North local government area”.
