NEMA receives 126 stranded Nigerians assisted back from Libya

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has received 126 stranded Nigerians assisted back to the country from Libya.
The Director General of the Agency, Mr. Mustapha Habib Ahmed, while addressing the returnees urged Nigerians to be wary of close associates; family friends,neighbourhood, and elders who would deceive the with sweet talk of a better life in a foreign land.
The DG who was represented by Southwest Spokesman of NEMA, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, said,


these people are found cashing in as messiahs to help Nigerians to slavery which the victims would regret through the rest of their lives”.


Farinloye highlighted that the new deceit being used as destination points are: Iraq, Dubai (United Arab Emirates), and Egypt, but all their victims end up in connection houses in Libya.

, consisting of 62 adult females, six female children, and four infant females. While the males were 46 adults, two children, and six infants by International Organization for Migration ( IOM)./
“The flight, Al Buraq Air with registration number 5A-DMG Boeing 700-787, landed at the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja at about 1622 hours.
“Other agencies that joined NEMA are Nigeria Refugee Commission, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Department of State Services, Police and Nigeria Immigration Service”.
