Ahead of the next season NPFL season, Niger Tornadoes have secured the services of Aliyu Mohammed Goyi from fellow Premier league side Kwara United for an undisclosed fee.
The former Villarreal of Spain and Tavriya of Ukraine player has reportedly been training with the Minna based club for the past two weeks and it was no surprise when his transfer was confirmed on Tuesday.
A top official of Tornadoes who witness the player’s transfer negotiations between the Afonja Warriors and Ikon Allah said Goyi is expected at the training ground in coming days.
“We cannot wait to see him (Goyi) playing in the colours of Niger Tornadoes”
The official also added that the Club is expecting more arrivals before the season commences in November.
“We are still expecting signings before the kick of the Nigeria Professional Football League later this month”
Niger Tornadoes finished in the fifth position last season after the League was stopped due to the leadership crisis that rocked the Nigeria Football Federation after the World Cup.
