Coach of Nigeria’s senior women basketball national team Otis Hughley has stated that he wants to rock Africa with D’Tigress ahead of the team’s title defense at the fast-approaching FIBA women Afrobasket in Senegal.
Hughley who lead the D’tigress to the quarter-final of the 2018 FIBA women world cup in Spain stated emphatically that Nigeria wants to crush all opponents including a revenge against Cameroon at the tournament and believes the spirit of the players this time is as strong as it was during the world cup where they shocked the world to have made the last eight and now intend to rock Africa at the biennial competition.
“What they did in 2015 is not lost on us, some of these girls were there, they remember. We don’t care who we play, we want to crush them. We want to leave no doubt and hopefully, we’ll do like we said before we will shake the world in Spain, now we want to rock Africa.”
