Nigeria-eligible striker shown the exit door by premier league club

English Premier League side Bournemouth has announced that Jordon Ibe won’t be offered an extension when his current deal expires.

Ibe’s current contract will expire July 1 and the premier league side is not interested in tying the former Liverpool youngster to another deal.

Ibe who joined the club in 2016 for 16 million pounds has failed to justify the investment made in him by the club and has only scored three premier league goals in 44 games.

The youngster who is currently being investigated by the club for breaching coronavirus social-distancing rules will be free to join another team as a free agent in the summer.

Ibe is eligible to play for Nigeria through his father. The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed in February 2015 that they were monitoring Ibe and would attempt to get him to switch his international allegiance.

Ibe was later approached by the Nigeria Football Federation, but he rejected the opportunity to turn out for the Super Eagles.

He has played for England at the age grade level, but has never be called up for the Three Lions.
