Former Taifas Stars coach Emmanuel Amunike has backed the Super Eagles of Nigeria to beat the Bafana Bafana of South Africa and advance into the semifinals of the 2019 African Cup of Nations going on in Egypt.
Amunike in an exclusive chat with brila.net recalled his initial position that the 2019 Afcon is will be interesting, and it’s proving to be, in the game against the Egyptians, the South Africans were disciplined, they didn’t allow the Egyptians to penetrate, he said.
”The South Africans never allowed the Egyptians to flow with the ball because of their tactical approach with a well-disciplined display from the players and they were able to pull that surprise.”
”Nigeria is a very good team, every game is totally different, you can’t predict the outcome of a game, if you look at the teams in the quarterfinals you could tell that they are all strong teams, Amunike said. ”
