Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers has been named in the Dutch Eredivisie team of the 2019/2020 season following.
The Heracles striker enjoyed good season when he scored 15 goals to finish as joint top scorer in this season’s campaign which was stopped because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Eredivisie announced the team on their social media handle on Monday and Dessers joined five players from table-toppers Ajax Amsterdam, including former Manchester United defender Daley Blind, Chelsea’s new signing Hakim Ziyech, Nicolas Tagliafico, Donny van de Beek and Quincy Promes.
Other players that made the team are AZ Alkmaar quartet Oussama Idrissi, Marco Bizot, Fredrik Midtsjo and Teun Koopmeiners and Denzel Dumfries of PSV.
Dessers helped Heracles to finished the season in the eighth position on 36 points in the 18-team league table.
The Belgian born 25-year-old is yet to make his debut for Nigeria after he switched allegiance back in February.
He decided to team up with the West African Nation, despite a plea from the Belgian football authority.
