Nigeria’s No.1 squash player laments Govt. neglect

Nigeria’s number one female squash player, Yemisi Olatunji has lamented government neglect and explained the reason behind her ‘Go Fund Me’ project, stating that it is simply a way to source for funds to aid her career growth.
Yemisi who conquered all comers at the 2018 National Sports Festival told brila.net that the move is just to make up for the inadequacies of the government in the aspect of athlete development and sponsorship.
“The reason or idea behind the Go-Fund-Me account is to be able to assist me with my career growth for 2019. This is because the government is not helping and no sponsorship to back me, it is just an individual effort. So this is the only way I can get help to achieve my highest ranking for the year and to further actualize career growth.”
