Reigning African footballer of the year Mohamed Salah has been left out of Egypt’s team that will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria in international friendly slated for next month in Asaba.
Coach Javier Aguirre who replace Hector Cupper shortly after the World Cup in Russia left out the Liverpool forward as he named an experimental squad for the encounter.
The former African Champions will travel to Niamey to face the Niger Republic on March 23 before taking on Nigeria in Asaba three days later.
With little on the line for the matches, Aguirre has opted to rest key players such as Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, West Bromwich Albion center-back Ahmed Hegazy and Aston Villa wingback Ahmed Elmohamady.
