NWFL debutant Coach Cries ‘Blue Murder’ after narrow defeat to FC Robo

After tasting defeat in Wednesday’s NWPL match against FC Robo, Head Coach of visiting Jokodolu Babes, Mohammed Ahmed called out the match officials and blamed the center referee for biased officiating that cost his team all three points on the road.

Ndubuisi Esther scored a late second half goal to break a dogged Jokodolu defence, that also had their goalkeeper, Agatha Thompson, to thank for keeping out the rampant attack from the home team.

However, in his post game presser, Coach Ahmed insisted FC Robo benefited immensely from a one-sided officiating.

“When you are playing away, mostly you play it 40-60, that is when you play defensive sometimes if you see it doesn’t work, you open up. We were not under any pressure we couldn’t control, the Referee was biased.

“In the first half the game was balanced, but in the second-half the game was against me, because any infringement the Referee will give them; instead of me she’ll give it to them. They had about 15 free-kicks,” the Jokodolu Coach lamented.
