Osaze Odemwingie picked Taye Taiwo as his favorite left back and believes his former national team is as good as Brazilian legend Roberto Carlo.
Odemwingie, who was a guest on premier league television on Wednesday, gave his assessment on Nigerian players who once plied their trade in the most glamorous league in the world.
The former West Brom star opined that Taiwo has more power in his shot than Roberto Carlos and also named him in his EPL best eleven.
“Taye Taiwo is my best left back, his shot is probably more powerful than Roberto Carlos, that’s why we call him Taye thunder because of his lightening strikes, he’s also a bully but a very good guy,” said Odemwingie.
The Striker named four other Nigerians Jay Jay Okocha, John Utaka, Obafemi Martins and Yakubu Aiyegbeni, in his EPL best 11 including.
Taiwo joined QPR at the the beginning of the 2011–12 season on loan from AC Milan and he went on to make fifteen appearances, he scored once in all competitions.
