Africa and Commonwealth games wrestling champion Odunayo Adekuoroye has promised winning a Gold medal for Nigeria ahead of the fast-approaching Africa Games in Morocco while revealing her desire to win an Olympic Gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games in Japan.
Adekuoroye who just won Gold for Nigeria at the recently concluded international wrestling ranking series in Turkey speaking in a chat with brila.net said to achieve this won’t come easy and has pleaded for all forms of support from the Government and private sector to help in this regard so as to aid the chances of the Wrestling Federation bringing more medals home for Nigeria.
“I know expectation keep rising towards the All Africa games this year and the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 and I believe by the special grace of God, I will win Gold for Nigeria.
“I want to ask for assistance from the Federal Government, private sector and individuals to help in realizing these targets.”
