Ohanu happy to help Kwara United stop Sunshine Stars home dominance

Michael Ohanu says he is happy to deliver the goal that gave Kwara United needed victory against Sunshine Stars last Sunday.

Ohanu scored the only goal of the game inside the opening 6 minutes of the encounter to give his side their first win against the Owena Whales in nine years.

Ohanu’s decisive strike also helped the Harmony Boys bounced back to win in ways after previous defeat to Lobi Stars in Makurdi.

In a chat with, the former Akwa United and MFM FC man admitted his side was under pressure before the kick off and he’s happy to rescue the team.

“I’m so glad that my team won the game because the tension of the game was so high.”

“Scoring the winning goal is something, I’m also proud of, because we haven’t beaten in our home for such a long time ” he told

Ohanu and his teammates will next take on strugglers Dakkada FC at the Nest Champions in Uyo this Thursday.
