Ngozi Okobi celebrated her wedding anniversary on Sunday with some deep message to her hubby on social media after what she described as a “tough year” for the young couple.
The Super Falcons midfielder who tied the knot with her Real Estate mogul sweetheart Ahmed Okeoghene last year, returned to football after her wedding – at both club and national team levels.
Okobi joined Swedish club Eskilstuna United DFF in January 2018; just before the start of the new season and has since featured 19 times in the league.
Last month she joined up with the Falcons as they headed out to Ghana for the 2018 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
December 9, marked exactly one year since the two exchanged vows; committing to love and cherish each other always under the law and God, a pledge Ngozi re-avowed in her tweet:
It’s been a tough year, but our love is tougher. Thanks for staying so strong through it all. Here’s to us…and to a brighter year ahead.”
