Okpotu makes league debut with Moroccan club El-Jadidi Diffa

Former Lobi Stars forward Anthony Okpotu has finally made his long-anticipated league debut for Moroccan club, Diffa Hassani El-Jadidi after making a return from his injury layoff.

The former Lobi Stars forward returned to full training last month and was named among the substitutes for the visit of Mouloudia Oujda as they claimed a hard-fought 1-0 win.

Okpotu was introduced in the 77th minute to replace goalscorer Adanane Ouardey much to the joy of the home fans who had a feel of their summer signing for the first time in the league.

The CHAN Eagles striker will, however, be in contention for a starting shirt when Diffa El-Jadida travels to the Stade Muhammed Vin Casablanca where they will face Wydad Athletic Club in a rescheduled league match on Wednesday.
