Okunowo Tips Barcelona For UCL Title After Win Over Chelsea

Okunowo Tips Barcelona For UCL
By Johnny Edward:
Former Barcelona star, Gbenga Okunowo has tipped the Catalan giants to win the Champions League title after they defeated Chelsea 3-0 in the second leg of the round of 16 clash at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.

A brace from Lionel Messi and another from Ousmane Dembele earned Barcelona their first win over Chelsea in their last nine meetings in the competition.

“Many people who expected Chelsea to go through at the expense of Barcelona after what happened in 2012 were not being fair,” Okunowo told CSN.
“Barcelona were well prepared for the game and neutralized Chelsea’s biggest threats in Willian and Eden Hazard. They also forced their full backs into so many individual errors and nailed them when they switched off during the game.
“Their goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois also didn’t help them as well.
“I don’t see any team better than Barcelona so they are my favorite to win the competition.”
The former Super Eagles right back also expressed his satisfaction with the performance of Victor Moses for Chelsea in the defeat.
“He did well in the game getting forward but if you notice he had a lot to worry with Andres Iniesta and Messi always drifting to his position.
“His regular playing time will help Nigeria as well at the World Cup in Russia.”
The draws for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals will hold on Friday.
