Super Eagles full-back Ola Aina did not taste action as he was benched for the entire 90 minutes in Torino’s 1-0 away win at Genoa on Saturday.
Aina was dropped to the bench by coach Walter Mazzari following his unimpressive performances in recent weeks for the Turin side.
Gleison Breimer scored the decisive goal for Torino 13 minutes from time to hand them elusive victory in the league.
Aina, who joined Torino from Chelsea also missed the league game second-place Inter Milan last week, but he has played 11 Serie A games for his club this season.
Torino is 10th on the log with 17 points from 14 matches so far this season.
