Olowookere says Flamingoes still work in progress

Interim coach of Nigeria’s U17 girls national team Bankole Olowookere has stated that the Flamingoes are still work in progress despite their emphatic 5-1 second leg win over their Guinean counterpart to seal qualification to the next round of FIFA U17 women world cup qualifying on an 11-2 aggregate win.

Bankole speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net after the win stressed that the team is gradually getting better and improving as a group.
He praised the effort of the girls to have beaten their opponent convincingly again knowing that the Guineans would have mapped out strategies to cage his girls.
“Gradually we are moving, we improve game by game, over there we scored so many goals because they don’t know us and maybe they took us for granted but now they know us and I believe they would have played that tape again and again but notwithstanding they had no answer to those attack.
“I am not boasting here because the girls made some mistakes as well we can see and we will still try to make some corrections.”
