Center Half Kenneth Omeruo might need to take up some more goalscoring duties after Barcelona signed Martin Braithwaite from CD Leganes leaving the relegation battling side in a tight fix.
Omeruo opened his goal account this season, a leveler against Real Sociedad and inspired an eventual 2-1 victory for Javier Aguirre’s side.
While it is his only goal contribution for the club this campaign, Barcelona’s capture of Braithwaite will require double shift for Leganes, who will now be without their top goalscorer.
Only Four players, who have managed to hit the back of the net for Aguirre’s side this term, remain with the club and it’s a crisis which an unfair law in La Liga has prompted.

As per Robbie Dunne [AS], CD Leganes General Director, Martin Ortega, believes the club is in “serious danger”.
“We want to raise our voices, we are in a situation of serious danger,” said Ortega
“Barcelona have benefitted from an unfair law. The injured party is Leganés.” [sic]
Leganés asked to sign their own emergency striker but were rejected by the league as it did not fall under the criteria of ’emergency’. They are sitting second last in the league and two points from safety.
FC Barcelona exercised their right to sign an emergency striker after the long-term injury of Ousmane Dembélé.
They completed the signing of Braithwaite for €18 million from the relegation-threatened Lega.
His release clause has been set at €300 million and he signs until the summer of 2024.
