FC Midtjylland of Denmark and Super Eagles forward, Paul Onuachu has expressed his excitement after making coach Gernot Rohr’s provisional 25 man list for the upcoming AFCON to be staged in Egypt next month.
Onuachu scored his 17th league goal of the season to inspire FC Midtjylland to a comprehensive 4-0 thrashing of incoming champions København at the MCH Arena in his side’s last fixture.
Speaking to www.brila.net, the lanky forward also stated that it won’t be easy at the Nations cup, but he remains optimistic, especially with him in the team.
“Am really happy, since I joined the first team, doing what the coaches want, getting some time and the coaches believed in me”.
“I’m really happy my performance has earned me a call-up, am not saying the AFCON will be easy, but if we work hard and stick to the coaches plan, everything will go well for us”.
“Am really happy and excited that I Am among the squad, am happy”.
Onuachu would be hoping to celebrate his call up with a silverware as he and his teammates turn their attention to the Danish cup final against Brøndby IF this weekend.
