Paulo Fonseca AS Roma move to could open doors for Olanrewaju Kayode

Kayode Olanrewaju signed a five year contract to stay put at Shakhtar Donetsk last year, but the Man who approved the deal has moved on to a bigger challenge and there’s a chance the striker can follow suit.

Paulo Fonseca joined AS Roma for a 2 year contract and spoke to the media for the first time on Wednesday.

The 46 year-old Maputo-born tactician spent three seasons with the Ukraine Premier League side and won the league every single season.

Olanrewaju was part of that success, winning back to back domestic doubles, but he has been on the move in such a short time and could consider a move.

The Nigeria international played for Austria Wein, where he was top scorer during the 2016-17 campaign.

He the went on to join Manchester City even though he didn’t play for Pep Guardiola, because he was immediately loaned to Girona in La Liga.

As such the speedy striker would certainly fancy working with Fonseca again or simply just joining a side in mainstream Europe.
