Pillars Grant Players two-week break after Cup Final Defeat

2018 Aiteo Cup finalist Kano Pillars football club, has given their players two weeks off following Wednesday’s Aiteo Cup Final defeat to Rangers International of Enugu.

The Sai Masu Gida gave up three goals to allow Rangers back in the game ,leveled up and proceed to win the game by 4-2 on penalties . The Nigeria Football fans has tagged the game as the ‘Miracle of Asaba at Stephen Keshi stadium Asaba, Delta state.

 

The team media manager Rilwan Malikawa said the Club decided to give the players some break, in order to recover and be fresh for coming season.

 

“Its unfortunate how we handled yesterday match from 3-0 down to 3-3 draws but that is football we are saying sorry to our teeming supporters, Government and good people of Kano state”, Malikawa said.

However, Rilwanu Malikawa said the players are expected to return to training on 9th of next month to commence preparations of 2018/2019 session.
