Kano Pillars will submit an official response to the charges and sanction by the LMC over the pitch invasion and crowd disturbance by it’s ‘sympathetic supporters’ after the NPFL Super 6 game against Rangers.
On Wednesday, the LMC issued a statement finding the club and its captain liable of breaching “the Framework and Rules of the NPFL including breaches of Rule B13.18, C9, C1.1.”
Part of the statement read, “Kano Pillars FC has been fined Eight million Naira (N8m) and its captain, Rabiu Ali banned from all NPFL activities and matches for a period of 12 matches.”
When Cornerstonenewsng.comcontacted the club, media officer Riliwanu Malikawa, he revealed the club had not received the verdict, officially.
‘ We’re studying the situation and we’ll come back with our decision very soon, we just received it this afternoon.
‘Up on till now we haven’t received it officially, when we receive it we’l sit down and discuss and after that we’ll reach a decision.
Concerning the culpability of the Pillars captain, Rabiu Ali, the Club media chief said, ‘ We already made our statement about that issue (Rabiu Ali), and then for the response on this discussion, until we sit down with my Management then we’ll get a final decision.’
