Plateau United and Kwara United to Play Nasarawa United in Friendly game

Nasarawa United will visit Abuja the capital territory to play two warm-up games against Plateau United (Wednesday) and Kwara United (Thursday) as they step up their preparation towards the commencement of the 2018/2019 NPFL season.

The solid miners as Nasarawa United are widely known are yet to engage any premier league side since they lost 4-2 to Enugu Rangers in the semi final of the 2018 Aiteo Cup.

A source Adams Jesse revealed to brila.net’s Seyi Alao that the two games will serve as the final preparatory games before the commencement of the league were they will host Abia Warriors in the Match day 1 at the Lafia City Stadium.

After losing the experience players such as Suraj Ayeleso (Kano Pillars), Sulieman Mohammed (Wikki Tourists), Seun Sogbeso (Sunshine stars) and Thomas Zenke (Enyimba), The 2016 Aiteo Cup finalists have brought in some capable replacements in the likes of Kadiri Attah (Sunsel), Abubakar (Wikki), Haggai (Abia Warriors) amongst others and they are expected to help the side achieve it’s aim in winning the NPFL title for the very first time come the end of the season.

Nasarawa United lost to Plateau United twice last season in the league, A Rafeal Ayagwa strike made sure the Lalong boys left lafia with the maximum points before Jimmy Ambrose and Reuben Bala made sure Najeem Olukokun’s strike was merely a consolation as Plateau United completed the double over the solid miners while Kwara United forced Nasarawa United to a 3-3 draw at the Lafia City Stadium and the return could not hold as the league ended abruptly.

Judging by the fact that Nasarawa United failed to beat both sides last season sure makes the games great tests for the team heading into the new season.
