‘Playing for Enyimba a privilege for any player’, says Peter Onyekachi

Former Enyimba International Player, Peter Onyekachi has revealed that he misses the 2-time African Champions noting that it is a huge privilege for anyone in the domestic league to play for the Aba-based side.

Making this revelation in a chat with brila.net, the Israel-based player reminisced the good times at Enyimba stating that they were blessed with a coach as good as Kadiri Ikhana while expressing hope that the present crop of players are able to sustain the momentum.
“Enyimba is a big club and the truth is any player who is privileged to play for the People’s Elephant in the NPFL is truly lucky. The only thing I miss about the team Enyimba is the team itself.
The quality of players because they were wonderful, I really don’t know if we can get such dogged set of players. We had a coach(Kadiri Ikhana) who never gave up and a great team who kept pushing.
I only hope the current players can keep that determined mentality so they can achieve too as we did in the league that year.”
