Former Lobi Stars of Makurdi midfielder, Moses Orkuma said it was a dream come true for him to represent Nigeria and he’s looking forward to more opportunities in the future.
Orkuma who is currently on the book of Tunisian ligue one side US Munastir was part of the Flying Eagles squad that represented Nigeria at the 2013 U-20 World cup in Turkey, where he featured twice.
“Representing my country was the best moment of my life, it was a dream come true playing for the U-20.” he told www.Cornerstonenewsng.comin a chat.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old is one of the players that were tipped to make a progress from the U-20 into the Super Eagles, but he’s yet to become a full capped international after seven years.
The former AL Ahly Tripoli player has now responded, that he’s not bitter about his snub from the national team handlers, but remain optimistic that his chances will come later in the future.
“Not that have not taken any step for playing for the Super Eagles, I am not just fortunate enough to be in the team or maybe there are better players in my position reason have not being recognized”. He said.
“For me, I’m not disappointed, once the Nigeria National team is doing well, I’m proud of my colleagues.
“Football is a matter of opportunity, when you have it, you grab, maybe my time has not come but I will be waiting patiently for my opportunity,” he concluded.
Orkuma has spent most of his career with North African clubs, he played for Al Ahli Benghazi, Etoile Sportive du Sahel of Tunisia , Al-Ahly Tripoli and currently with US Monastir.
