By Adeboye Amosu: Poland’s Bartosz Bereszynski and Slawomir Peszko have been ruled out of Friday’s international friendly against Nigeria, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Sampdoria defender Breszynski, 25, and 33-year-old Peszko, a midfielder who represents local side Lechia Gdansk, are both injured and will play no part in the clash billed for the Municipal Stadium, Wroclaw. The match will kick off off at 8.45 pm Nigerian time.
There are also doubts on the participation of 28-year-old Locomotiv Moscow of Russia winger Maciej Rybus due to illness.
The three players are however in line to feature in the Poles’ second friendly game against South Korea next Tuesday in Chorzow.
“When preparing strategies for particular matches, we have to deal with both organizational and personal difficulties,” Poland coach Adam Nawalka stated during his pre-match conference ahead of the game on Thursday.
“I believe that the players will recover quickly and be ready for the match against South Korea. Maciej Rybus has cold and did not take part in training, but we will decide about his participation in the morning.
“We have a fantastic medical staff and we hope that they will put him on his feet.”
