The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a-40-year old man, Hillary Apeh, for allegedly assaulted his niece, Chioma Ogbu, the a-9-old girl at Maryland Estates 3-3 Onitsha.
The State Police Public Relations Officer Mr. Haruna Mohammed said the man physically abused the victim who has scars all over her body.
He said “On May 14, at about 10 am, police operatives attached to 3-3 police Station Onitsha, arrested Hillary Apeh 40, of Maryland Estates 3-3 Onitsha.
“The suspect brutally assaulted his niece, Chioma Ogbu, of the same address and inflicted several wounds on her body.

“Preliminary investigation further revealed that the suspect had on several occasions physically abused the victim who has scars all over her body.
“The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment while the investigation is ongoing after which suspect would be brought to book” Mohammed stated.
