Suspected notorious kidnappers who recently ambushed and shot four Policemen dead have been arrested.

Rescued from the kidnapper’s den was a 15 –year -old victim.
The police also stepped up a manhunt for the notorious armourer to the gang, Buhari General.

The suspects described by the police as deadly were responsible for the recent killing of four IRT Personnel, kidnapping of 15 -years -old – girl, several armed robberies, kidnappings and cattle rustling along Maidaro/Birnin Gwari and Zaria/Giwa axis in Kaduna State.
One AK47 rifle and 2 Local made guns were recovered from the bandits.
A senior police officer who spoke on the condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to speak said :” As a follow up to the manhunt of the remaining killers of IRT personnel and the recent kidnapping of Hadiza Mohammed , 15 , in Giwa LGA on 25/8/18, The Operatives of the IGP-IRT in an unrelenting follow up succeeded in arresting four confirmed members of the Kidnapping Syndicate terrorising Maidaro/Birnin Gwari and Zaria/Giwa axis in Kaduna State also responsible for the recent ambush and killing of four IRT personnel.
“Suspects arrested include: Ayuba Dabo, Samaila Chiroma aka Ilu, Isah Bello Bahago and Haruna Jibrin, were all arrested in Giwa LGA in Kaduna State after the serious gun battle. All suspects confessed to the recent kidnapping of 15years -old girl and several armed robberies, Kidnappings, Cattle rustling in Kaduna State and Confessed to the recent ambush and killing of IRT personnel.
Suspects made mentioned of their gang leaders; Buhari General and Alhaji Mamuda, who also participated in the ambush/killing of IRT personnel in Kaduna as the ones in possession of their remaining operational weapons. The suspects also made further confessions which helped operatives to rescue the girl victim unhurt.
” Serious efforts to recover more operational weapons and arrest their fleeing gang members including the ones responsible for the killing of our men are on top gear”.
