Pomp, ceremony at maiden edition of Abuja Luxury Real Estate Awards

It was pomp and ceremony at the maiden edition of the Abuja Luxury Real Estate Industry Night and Awards (ALREINA).

The event, which was held at the luxurious Wells Carlton Hotel, Asokoro, Abuja, hosted eminent personalities and practitioners in the nation’s real estate sector.

The event, with the topic, “opening up the cities for sustainable real estate investment” was handled by investment coach and CEO of Forex Training Academy in FCT, Dr. Stephen Michael, urged investors to always put their money and time into sustainable projects and investment.

He noted that the real estate sector in Nigeria was still fresh and unharvested, urging Nigerians to grab the opportunity and not allow foreigners to discover it before them.

President of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), high chief Christopher Isiguzo commended the convener, Mr. Odita Sunday for championing conversations around the real estate sector, urging him to carry journalists along in the project with a view of taking advantage of investment opportunities in the sector.

While noting that the property sector is the new oil, Isiguzo also said that the sector is open for both rich and poor to start investing.
The convener, Sunday, noted that it was high time journalists commenced a conversation around the real estate industry since the industry has the capacity of changing the fortunes of Nigeria.

According to him, the real estate sector contributes over 70percent of UK’s GDP, but in Nigeria, the sector contributes less than 8percent to the nation’s GDP.

Some distinguished realtors were honoured at the event with awards for their exemplary leadership in the sector.

Some of the awardees are CEO of RemaxRealtor, Mrs. Funke Adesoji, CEO of Korlie Mobs Ventures Ltd, Col. Kolawole Shaw, Hajia Haidara Rayaanatu amongst others
