Rafael Everton faces sack as Akwa United remain bottom of NPFL Group B

Coach Rafael Everton’s future is hanging in the balance after Akwa United lost their third game of the season at Nasarawa United and remain rock bottom of Group B with two points from four matches.

Mohammed Shammasu and Daddy Morris scored in the second half for Nasarawa United to win in Lafia on Monday.

The Solid Miners wrapped up the game in the last minute of added time as Daddy Morri long-range effort caught Ojo Olorunleke napping to send the home fans into ecstasy after the heartbreak of back to back defeat to El Kanemi Warriors and Heartland FC.

Rafael Everton is now under increasing pressure to turn the Club’s season around with no win so far from four matches in the difficult abridged league.

The defeat leaves Akwa United in the bottom of NPFL Group B table with two points from possible twelve.
