Rangers end Kwara United hoodoo, including a 14-month unbeaten Home Run

Enugu Rangers have ended Kwara United’s 14-month unbeaten run at home with a 2-1 win on Wednesday as they climbed to the summit of Group A with three games in hand.

Two first half goals from Ifeanyi George (25th) and Godwin Aguda (28th) saw the Flying Antelopes race to an early lead inside the first 30 minutes.

For Aguda it should come as a relief to break his four-game scoreless run. Prior the kick-off he admitted to Cornerstonenewsng.com“it bothers me.”

Rangers also end their winless run in Ilorin against Kwara United in the league dated back to 2011.

Meanwhile, the result for Rangers further cements their claim to the 2018/19 NPFL title, as the competition will soon be decided in the playoff.
