Rangers will surpass CAF Confederations cup group stage hoodoo next season – Ezeaku

Team manager of NPFL side Rangers International Amobi Ezeaku has stated that the Enugu based side will next season surpass the CAF Confederation cup group stage after playing out a 1-1 draw against Egyptian side El Masri to wrap up it continental campaign which ended in another group stage ouster just like the 2018/2019 season.

Ezeaku speaking in a chat with brila.net called on the fans to continue to support the club notwithstanding the disappointment and stated that making the cut to the group stage of the CAF Confederation cup in back to back seasons is testament of an improving side.
He added that they will continue to work harder to ensure they eventually scale this hurdle next season.
“We appeal to our fans to keep supporting, last season we got to the group stage, this season the group stage again, next season by God grace we will try to surpass the achievement. It’s not easy playing on the continent and playing in the NPFL as well a very tough and fast rising league in Africa.”
