Technical Adviser of Remo Stars, Fatai Osho has played down his team victory over Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan and insists the Oluyole Warriors came to the tournament with one of the best squad.
Edoka Owoicho, Awoyemi Abiodun and Olufemi Oladapo all scored to give the Sky Blue Stars all three points in their opening game of the ongoing Nigeria National League Super 8 competition at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.
Speaking to Journalists immediately after the game Osho hailed the Edith Agoye’s side performance but maintains that his team had to dig deep to get the three points.
“A lot of commendation should be given to the 3SC team, they have one of the best team in this tournament but the tactical discipline in this particular match gave us the victory against them.
“It doesn’t take anything away from 3SC, they are a formidable team and I see them progressing in this tournament.”
Fatai Osho added that his side has what it takes to be crowned champions at the end of the Super eight.
“Definitely, that’s why we are here, during the run of the season, we did a wonderful job and our coming here means we have to compliment it by gaining the ticket and to be the eventual winner. We believe we have what it takes to be there.”
“In terms of opposition we are facing, the Southern conference has one of the best team in the whole of Bet9jaNNL and in terms of challenges, it’s been so tough and it makes us ready for the competition.”
On the game against Bendel Insurance tomorrow, he employed people to come out and see the game, As both sides will deliver good football.
“I watched their game today, they are also a formidable side and for us to get any result against them, we must give them their deserved respect and I think that would just guarantee our success and I want a whole lot of people to come out to watch the game tomorrow.”
