The National Chairman of Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rev. Samuel Ikpea has congratulated Muslim faithfuls across the nation on the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha, Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to follow Allah’s (God’s) command to sacrifice his son. Muslims around the world observe this event.
In a message sent to the press, the businessman cum football enthusiast remarked that this year’s celebration is very important, taking into cognisance the present socio-economic global turbulence occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.
” On behalf of myself, and the entire membership of NFSC, home and diaspora, I say congratulations to all our Muslim friends in the country. I pray that may Allah in His infinite mercies bless everyone of us,” Ikpea prayed.
He also admonished Nigerians to continue to respect and observe all government directives concerning the health measures in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
