Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr, has denied putting on hold the possibility of inviting new players to the team ahead of upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
Rohr’s Eagles started their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign on an impressive note recording back-to-back wins against the Squirrels of Benin and Crocodiles of Lesotho.
The 66-year-old was quoted that bringing in new players might disrupt his plans for the World Cup qualifiers next year.
However, the German tactician has denied the reports in a chat with brila.net, in his words ”I never said there is no space for new players in the camp, it will be stupid of me to say such a thing.
“If you find a better player like the ones we have, of course, he will be invited” said Rohr.
