Rotherham Boss has hailed Semi Ajayi’s goal scoring form after the Nigerian hit his sixth goal in five league games for the Millers.
Ajayi produced a stunning strike in the second half to level for the home side at the New York stadium as they battled Championship leaders Norwich City on Saturday.
However, the day ended in defeat for Paul Warne’s men and a drop into the relegation zone.
But that didn’t sway the Manager from denying the 23 year-old Nigerian the praise he deserves for delivering the goals for the side in this desperate times.
When asked about the midfielder’s purple patch, Warne responded, ‘He’s on fire! How does he do it, How does he do it? He had a good turn and finish…when you’re hot you’re hot.
‘And that’s the thing with football and all sports, if you’re confident in yourself and you’re on a good run of form, you take things on that you might have not taken that shot on 6 months ago.
‘I’m really pleased for him, he’s a great human being, so he’s on flames at the moment.’
