ROUND-UP: Ogu Scores In Israeli Play-Offs, Uzoho In Action As Deportivo Fabril Win

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu was on target for Hapeol Beer-Sheva who fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to Hapoel Haifa in the Israeli Championship play-offs on Sunday.

Ogu scored in the 79th minute to make it 2-1 for his side before an own goal by Eden Ben Basat levelled the score in the 90th minute.

The draw left Hapoel Beer-Sheva at the top of the six-team play-off group on 10 points, three points above second-placed Maccabi Netanya.

In the Belgian Group B Europa League play-offs, Nigeria striker Joseph Akpala started for Oostende who drew 2-2 at home against St. Truiden.

It was Oostende’s third straight draw; they have three points and afe third in the six-team play-offs group.

Akpala was however replaced in the 71st minute of the game.

And in the Spanish Segunda B, Group 1 (lower division), Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was in goal for Deportivo Fabril who thrashed Atletico Madrid B side 4-1.

The game was Uzoho’s 22nd league appearance for Deportivo Fabril so far this season.

Deportivo Fabril top the 20-team lower division table on 62 points with four games left to play.
