The Inspector – General of Police Intelligence Team ( IRT) has arrested notorious kidnappers who abducted twin sisters in Zamfara State recently.
The Police gave the names of the suspects as Nafiu Usman 28 ( a.k.a Baba Doctor ) who the police described as the sectional leader of the Hassan
Ma’aruf admitted that Inusa Usman 40, Awal Jibril, 41 Shehu Mohammed 55, Alhaji Ibrahim Ibrahim 35, Ibrahim Sani 45, Kabiru Usman 30, Bala Garba 60, Maigari Labbo 56, Mohammed Abdullahi Aramako 31 and Salisu Mamman Wadatau 38, major informant of the gang

Recovered from the suspects were Six AK47 Rifles
Four Magazines,34 AK47 live ammunition and four Swords

Force Public Relations Officer ( FPRO ) Ag. DCP , Jimoh Moshood said : ” Consequent on the Kidnap of Hassana Bala ,18 and her twin sister, Hussaina Bala on October 21 , in Dauran Village, Zurmi LGA, Zamfara State when they went to distribute their wedding invitation cards to families and friends, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, directed a discrete investigation into the sudden disappearance of the twins and bring the perpetrators to justice.


” The operatives of the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT) Led by DCP Abba Kyari carried out a discrete investigation into the matter and succeeded in the arrest of12 suspects who were directly responsible for the kidnap of the twins, Hassana Bala and Hussaina Bala.
” The suspects were arrested in various criminal hideouts in Katsina and Zamfara States. They have confessed to the crime and admitted to the various criminal roles they played in the Kidnap of the twins and several other armed robberies, kidnapping and cattle rustling in Zamfara State and environs.
” The Suspects also admitted that they collected the N15million as ransom before releasing the twins and shared N500,000 each “.

Moshood said that the suspects would soon be arraigned in Court on completion of Investigation.
