Sakin rues Covid-19 effects on CAF inter club competition and suggests way forward to CAF

Horoya AC of Guinea Nigerian striker Bolaji Shakin has expressed frustration on the effects of Covid-19 on CAF inter club competition that has already prevented the semi final of both CAF champions league as well as Confederation cup from been played with Horoya up against Pyramids of Egypt in the CAF Confederation cup semi final.

Shakin speaking in a chat with Cornerstonenewsng.comsaid it will be painful to have the CAF Confederation cup or champions league voided after getting as far as the semi final of the competition and has suggested that CAF should consider playing behind closed doors in order to produce a winner for the CAF inter club competition respectively.

“Corona virus has come, we just have to be praying now that everything goes well with everybody. It’s very painful that we didn’t get to the end of the competition because of this Corona virus but I think CAF can decide that we play a legged semi final without fans, we just play it like that till the final so that we just know the champion of this year’s CAF Confederation cup or champions league.”
