SAL 2019: Nigeria Picks Up Three medals in Rowing

Nigeria picked up three medals in the rowing event at the 2019 African Beach Games with Moses Michael and Esther Toko combining to deliver two bronze and a silver medal after two days of competition.

Moses finished behind Algeria’s Oussama Hablche and Tunisia’s Mansouri Mohamed in the Men’s Singles event.

In the Women’s singles event, Esther Toko came in third behind Zammali Sarra of Tunisia and Algeria’s Amina Rouba.

Subsequently in the Mixed Doubles event, the duo powered to second spot bettered only by Algeria as they picked up the silver medal.

It brings to an end the Rowing event at the games, but Nigeria’s participation continues with events in 6 other sports yet to begin or still ongoing.
