Delta State Police Command has arrested a security guard for allegedly killing her female boss and buried her in a shallow grave in Asaba,the State Capital.
The guard buried the woman, Joy Onekanse, facedown in the shallow grave in her compound where she lived alone with the guard, Sunday Isaac.
A police source said that the woman had been declared missing since one month before detective picked Isaac who confessed how he murdered Onekanse and buried her in a shallow grave .
The police said that a Patrol team 9, GRA Division on routine patrol at Summit Junction in Asaba, had accousted Isaac while driving black Colored Toyota Avalon Car with number plate KSF 322FK and requested for the vehicle particulars which he was not able to provide.
The police after interrogation, suspected Isaac, who they took to the station where they discovered that the car belonged to Onekanse who had been declared missing for over one month.
Isaac who knew that the game was up, confessed how he killed his boss and stole her property, including the car.
The suspect led the police to the shallow grave where he buried the deceased.
Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Hafiz Inuwa ,said:
“Exhumation of the body and autopsy is now on.”
The deceased’s brother, John Onekanse, had earlier reported a case of his missing sister on August 8.
However, John has identified the recovered car at the police station to be that of his missing sister.
He also identified the suspect as his missing sister’s security guard.
