Serena consoles Dayana Yastremska after ending her dream

23 grand slam winner Serena Williams secured a passage into the fourth round of the Australian open with a victory over Dayana Yastremska on Saturday.

Williams dominated the young Ukrainian and giving away just threegames in the process as she search for her 24th grand slam title.

After the loss Yastremska appeared heartbroken as she burst into tears as knows that it’s the end of the road for her in the competition.

However Serena Williams showed how champion and leader she was when she took the time to console the 18 year old Ukrainianwho became overwhelmed after suffering a heavy defeat.

Yastremska was seen wiping away tears following her 6-2 6-1 loss to the American, but veteran tennis star stoked the headlines once more by put her hand on her opponent’s shoulder and offered some supports.

“I could tell she was quite upset. I kind of liked that. It shows she wasn’t just there to play a good match – she was there to win. She wanted to win. That really broke my heart,” Williams said. “I think she’s a good talent. It’s good to see that attitude.”

William might face number one ranked player Simona Halep who sent her elder sister Venus parking from the tournament with a 6-2, 6-3 win last week in the next round.
