Serena Williams suffers shock 53-minute defeat to Johanna Konta

Johanna Konta left Serena Williams reeling after winning 12 games in a row and brushing aside the 23-time Grand Slam winner with an emphatic 6-1 6-0 victory in San Jose.

 

World No.48 Konta took just 53 minutes to emerge victorious in the first round of the Silicon Valley Classic.

Philomena  Ngozi Christopher-Oji was born to the family of the late Michael and Cecilia Ojeogwu of Ubulu-Uku, in Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State.
