A girl has been strangled in a hotel room in Rivers State. This is increased the number of females strangled in a hotel room in Port Harcourt to seven.
The mode of operations of the serial killer was to use a white rag to strangle his victims. He would use the pieces of the white clothing to bind the victim’s legs and tie their hands to their back.
The latest victim was found dead at LA Steph Suits in Omoku, Port Harcourt. The killing was similar to six other women murdered in hotel rooms in the state since last month.
Rivers State police public relations officer, Nnamdi Omoni, said the police were doing something urgent to apprehend the serial killer and that four persons were helping the police in their investigations. Omoni also said:
” The Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Dandaura had held a meeting with hoteliers during which he gave them some security tips and urged them to install Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) among other security measures “.
