Sikiru Alimi eager to impress Lobi fans

Lobi Stars attacker Sikiru Alimi has revealed that his desperation to impress the supporters of the club is the reason behind his good performances for the team.

With Alimi leading the attack, Lobi are through to the next phase of the CAF Champions league and he was at the center of the success as he scored one of the two goals that helped the team see off USMDe Loum of Cameroon.

I had to give a spectacular display against USM de Loum in other to impress the fans and the good people of Benue, it was beautiful and the goal was just a plus to a great team and individual performance. He said.

The former Warri Wolves goal poacher added he wasn’t surprisedthat it didn’t take him so long to settle quickly into the team , As he has known most of his teammates before joining the team.

On adapting with the new players, it is very easy to blend with the guys especially the new players as we have known ourselves right from when we met during league games and our football is a culture so playing with anyone isn’t really a problem but I’ll need time to adjust to the coach’s tactics then I will be good.” He concluded

Lobi Stars will aim to make the money spinning group stage of the CAF Champions League but first will have to pass through the huddle of facing Kenyan side, Gor Mahia later this month (14th in Kenya, 21st in Nigeria).
