Following their embarrassing Premier League home defeat to Wilfred Ndidi’s Leicester City on Friday, Southampton’s players and coaching staff have agreed to donate Friday wages to the Club’s foundation.
Ndidi and his teammates produced biggest away win in the history of the division when they thrashed the Saints 9-0 at the Saint Mary , a result that will linger on in the heart of Saints faithfuls for a long time.
The defeat was Southampton’s heaviest ever in all competitions and the Club’s playing staffs have taken bold steps to make amends with the fans.
Southampton, however announced on their official website on Sunday that first-team members have agreed to donate Friday’s wages to Club’s Foundation, as part of their contributions to the community.
Ndidi was on for the entire duration, as Jamie Vardy scored four time, while Ayoze Perez got an hattrick, Ben Chilwell, Youri Tielemans, and James Maddison got the other goals.
